Janet Selcer joined Karen Nussbaum and Ellen Cassedy to launch 9 to 5 in Boston. She is director of the Brookline (MA) School-Community Partnership.

Cheryl Schaffer was one of the three original organizers of District 925, and later served as Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Director of the union. She works as executive director for a center at Boston College.

Doreen Levasseur was one of the first organizers hired by 9 to 5, and was president of Local 925 in the Boston area. She is now a field representative for the Massachusetts Teachers’ Association.

Sue Chase was a clerical worker and union steward at Quincy City Hospital (Quincy, MA) when District 925 was elected to represent the employees. She is now a field representative for SEIU Local 888.

Andrea Gundersen was the lead organizer and regional director for District 925 in Chicago and Illinois starting in 1981. She now works as a massage therapist with veterans and other trauma survivors.

Carol Sims was an employee at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio. She started working for District 925 in 1984, and is a field representative in SEIU 1199.

Carolyn Schweir was active in the organizing campaign at the University of Cincinnati. She is president of the union chapter at the university.
